Mallinson's Free-Lancing Services

Dorothy Stokes took her photography seriously, and was seeking to get published for freelance work. Stokes kept a record of correspondance with "Mallinson's Free-Lancing Services" dated 1934-5. Stokes sent 40 photos sent for critique by the company.

 

Receipt: £2 of fee of £5 for course - “Course in Free-lance Photography and Journalism”

Mallinson’s Free-Lancing Services had an address at 7 Rose Crescent, Cambridge run by a Rufus H. Mallinson (Rufus Helme Mallinson)

 

The publication produced was called “Free-Lance Journalism with a Camera”
